Pod2G has just announced that his upcoming iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak
won’t work on iPod touch 3G and iPhone 3GS. The announcement was made
in a Twitter update earlier today, later it was also posted on his blog.
iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak is what the community is looking forward
to right now and the hacker has been actively working
on it from quite some time now.
We’ve told you before that testing is most crucial product in any jailbreak release cycle and we’re going through it right now in case of iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak.
Earlier today Pod2G also posted some FAQs about upcoming iOS 5.1.x untethered jailbreak which pretty much clears everything about this jailbreak.

As I already said on twitter, iPod 3G and iPhone 3GS won’t be compatible with the upcoming jailbreak.Pod2G has confirmed that this jailbreak works on iPhone 4 and iPad 3. A video demo of iPad 3 iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak was also released by Pod2G just couple of days ago. He is now planning to extend his testing process to two new devices — iPhone 4S and iPad 2. After testing of these two devices we’d be in a comfortable position to say something about the release date of upcoming iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak.
Next tests on my list :
- iPhone 4S
- iPad 2
