The wait is over folks, Apple has just released iOS 6 for all supported iOS devices. Apple previewed iOS 6
at WWDC 2012 earlier this and released beta builds for registered Apple
developers only. If you were one of those Apple developers then this
probably isn’t a big news for you but a lot of people who are not
registered Apple developers were deprived of iOS 6. The fruit company
has brought some significant changes in their mobile operating system.
iOS 6 packs more than 200 new features which would give all iOS users a better experience on all supported devices.
We will get in to the details of some important new features of iOS 6 in bit but first let’a talk about the compatibility. Following iOS devices supports all new iOS 6:
Some key new features include:
Well the process is pretty much easy, if you’re already running iOS 5 then all you need to do is go to Settings.app> General > Software from here you can get an OTA update. For iPhone 4S this OTA update weighs around 626MB.
Important Note For Jailbreakers and Ulockers:
If you’re a huge jailbreaking fan and you just cannot live without then DO NOT update any iOS device to iOS 6 right now. The dev team is working on a tethered jailbreak but it would only work for A4 and previous iOS devices. There’s still no ETA on iOS 6 jailbreak so it’s good that you stay wherever you are right now. If you rely on iPhone unlock then don’t even think about updating your iPhone because you WILL loose your unlock. If you’re currently running iOS 5.1.1 then we highly recommend that you save your iOS 5.1.1 SHSH blobs and wait for an update from the Dev Team.
